NEW PARTNERS

0
Two of my friends have joined me on my microstock journey. One is a great illustrator who makes amazing hand-drawn art and the other is an advertiser who has great talents dealing with illustrator and photoshop.

So we'll be working together on some illustrations and sharing the profits from them. I think this will bring a lot og great quality work to our portfolio!

I'll share with you some of our first illustrations together:

OCTOBER EARNINGS

GRAPHIC OF OCTOBER

MONTHLY EARNINGS GROWTH

This was a great month! My best month ever and finally a new milestone: $ 300. I haven't really uploaded a lot of images because I haven't had much time, but the images I uploaded have sold pretty well, which helped me achieve $ 300.

Veer was a good surprise as I have a tiny portfolio there and have a decent revenue this month. For that reason I've been working on uploading my whole portfolio to Veer.

Shutterstock was the big winner as always with almost 50% of my earnings. I had a good number of OD's but no EL's.

Fotolia is finally starting to get back from summer vacation and the sales are slowly improving.

Dreamstime has definetelly taken the second place in my list. I think images take a while to start selling over there, but now I have been making some money there and I'm really happy with their results.

Crestock is dead, that's all I have to say. Extremely high rejection rates and no sales...

Got my 6th rejection at iStockPhoto and I really don't know what to do about them... I've already sent my best sellers and so far, no success.

QUICK NOTES

Fotolia is finally accepting IPTC data on vector uploads. Just zip your eps and jpg together and upload it.

This month for me Shutterstock and Dreamstime are the only seriously selling. Fotolia has been dead for 2 months and StockXpert is dropping severely. Best month ever at 123RF so far.

Life in France has been great! But I really need to find a job soon!!!

Help wanted! Lol

Now that I'm finally set up in France, I've started drawing again and uploading. I've uploaded about 20 images this month, but most of them are actually rearrangements of old images: Check it out here!

$500 AND RAISE AT SHUTTERSTOCK

4
After almost 5 months contributing to Shutterstock I finally reached $500 and got a raise! My 25-a-day downloads will now pay me $0.33 per download!

That's a really awsome raise and will increase my earnings at Shutterstock in about 30%!

This is how it works at Shutterstock:

$0 - $500 = $0.25/download
$500 - $3.000 = $0.33/download
$3000 - $10.000 = $0.36/download
$10.000 and up = $0.38/download

Sign up to Shutterstock now and start making money!

DREAMSTIME FLASH BROWSER

I've just checked out the Flash Browser at Dreamstime and I love it! It follows the same idea as Cooliris and it works very well when making a search on their website. I don't know if that browser has been avaiable for a while but this was the first time I've seen it.

Dreamstime has also been a great surprise for me this month! My sales are best than ever at their website and it's really close to be my best seller this month!

Hope they keep on improving their website like that!

MOVED TO FRANCE

5
Hey friends,

I'm really sorry I haven't post anything in a while but I've just moved to France and this last week was all about setting stuff up and doing all the burocratic stuff when you move to another country.

This week I'll let you know what's going on in my microstock journey and also release my august earnings.

See you soon!

Augusto

STOLEN IMAGE

Yesterday I've found my first image been sold by another user at Shutterstock. This user has re-drawn several illustrations made by other Shutterstock users. He changes the illustrations a little bit and make them avaiable for download.

I found this after another Shutterstock user post about that portfolio on the forums. I think it's ok for users to get inspired by other people's work, nothing wrong about it. It's also ok if you copy others illustrations for practice, to learn some new skills...just don't make it avaiable for sale!

The user has been reported to administrators and his portfolio is already off! Less than 24h for Shutterstock to work on that, really good job!
